Advanced Diving Courses
These courses are for those divers who already have an Open Water Diver qualification and want to continue their training or improve their techniques. The following recreational diving courses allow you to expand your limits. The adventures course will initiate you in those aspects that are of your interest. In the advanced course the same thing happens, with the difference that you must have a deep experience and another one of underwater navigation.
In the Rescue Diver course, which requires at least adventure diver and first aid knowledge (or perform at the same time the Emergency First Response course).

Later there are two more categories in recreational diving. One of them is the title MASTER SCUBA DIVER, which is achieved by doing 5 PADI specialties. You can consult the available specialities here . The Master Scuba Diver qualification is the highest qualification in the recreational sector.
The other qualification you can access would already be the first qualification of the professional recreational diving branch: the Divemaster or diving guide. Preliminary step for all those who wish to become a Diving Instructor and specialties.

As we know that this is the most common situation, at Portosub we will deduct 40€ from the price of your certification course once you have made your baptism with us. You have 30 days to decide.
Basically the Scuba Diver Course is half of the Open Diver Course. For this reason, you do less theory and less practice. Scuba Diver carries a certification, where you can only dive accompanied by a professional and maximum 12 meters. The Open Water allows you to dive with another certified diver and 18 meters limit.
Open Water course has 4 open water practice dives. Enough to cover your training with guarantees, but you will need many more to dive well. Many clients start with the idea of taking the advanced diver course. With these packs they can gain experience and save money.
Both courses can be taken once you are Open. In the Adventure Diver you choose 3 specialties for an adventure dive. In the Advanced, you have to choose 5 specialties, of which deep diving and underwater navigation are obligatory. If you do the adventure, then you can extend it to Advanced, although it is not a necessary step.
EFR stands for Emergency First Respone , which in Spain are First Aid. For the Rescue Diver Course it is necessary to have knowledge of first aid or to carry it out during the course. If you do not have this knowledge officially, you can take the Emergency First Response course, which meets the requirements and also certifies its completion.
Many people who live in Madrid, Alicante, Barcelona and even Las Palmas, have taken the course with us. We have medium-high season accommodation and offers of accommodation + courses. If you want a personalized plan, just contact us.
We have a swimming pool available, although most of the activities we prefer to do at sea. First of all because you get used to the real environment of the diver, and the subsequent steps are easier. We leave the immersions in swimming pool only for those people who for physical reasons cannot go to the sea, or for the days that the climatology does not leave us another option.
